Palm Island is just one of the stunningly beautiful, peaceful islands in the Grenadines, stretching between St. Vincent and Grenada. With Bequia, the largest island to the north, Palm Island is about ten minutes away from Union Island, the main local commercial center and transfer hub. Other neighboring islands include the Tobago Cays and Mustique.

Weather

The climate here is generally warm and sunny. The average temperature is around 27°C/81°F. Seasonal variations apply.

Currency

The local currency is the East Caribbean dollar, EC $. Bank hours are Monday to Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Credit Cards

Major credit cards are readily accepted including Visa and MasterCard. Travelers Checks are also acceptable. However, American Express is not accepted.

Time Zone

The Grenadines are on Atlantic Standard Time (AST), 1 hour ahead of Eastern Standard Time (EST) in the US and 4 hours behind Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).

Passport Requirements

All passengers must travel with a valid passport with at least six months to the expiry date. All passengers must also travel with a return ticket.

Departure Taxes

A Departure Tax of US $40 per person must be paid at Immigration at Union Island Airport (UNI) on your departure. The tax must be paid in cash. There are no ATMs at the airport.

Check-In & Check-Out

Your chosen accommodations will be ready on your arrival. Check-out is by 12:30 p.m. on the day of your departure. 

Internet

Complimentary WiFi is available in our Library and Reception area. There is also a computer with Internet access for guests to use.

Electricity

The voltage here is 110 volts 60 cycles. Dual voltage sockets are installed in all the bathrooms. Adaptors are available at Reception.

Luggage

The luggage allowance for the connecting flights between Barbados and Union Island is one checked in bag, not to exceed 20 kgs/44 lbs and one carry on bag. We recommend you bring one change of clothes and medication in your carry on.

Attire

We ask our guests to be island chic by day and elegantly smart in the evenings. Beachwear should be reserved for the beaches and the swimming pool area please.

ROYAL PALM RESTAURANT You'll feel more than welcomed at the elegant Royal Palm restaurant, where you can enjoy beautiful ocean views and sea breezes along with breakfast, lunch and dinner. For breakfast, choose from a medley of appealing selections designed to pique your appetite, including seasonal fruits, fresh-baked croissants, banana pancakes, 'Eggs Benedict' or a made-to-order omelet. The extensive lunch menu includes everything from crisp, cool salads to fresh pastas, and island-influenced specialties like Caribbean Jerk chicken. For your evening meal, romance is definitely on the menu. Dining is by lamplight, and the soundtrack includes the sea. Our a la carte menu offers an amalgam of the best international dishes, enhanced by fresh island ingredients and culinary styles.

SUNSET GRILL Set right on the sand, the Sunset Grill offers an array of local and international delights to please any palate. Open daily for lunch, this seaside restaurant has a distinct Caribbean flair. Dinner is offered on Wednesdays and Saturdays by reservation for guests who prefer an a la carte menu to the BBQ/Caribbean Buffet. With an extensive menu and tables indoors and on the beach, what better way to enjoy an informal meal.
LOUNGES & BARS Night and day, you'll enjoy the social, house-party ambience at Palm Island's two bars. Join your fellow guests for evening sundowners at the cozy Sunset Grill, our beachfront bar, where you can kick off your flip-flops and enjoy cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, shared in a laid back friendly atmosphere.

PRIVATE DINING ROMANTIC PICNIC LUNCHES Our 4 picnic sites are private and stunningly situated at the more secluded parts of the island, overlooking the turquoise water of the beautiful ocean and beyond offering the perfect place to linger over a tasty Caribbean picnic lunch.
